Your teen will build confidence, creativity, and connection with BYOI’s Teen Improv Workshops! Designed for ages 12–18, these workshops provide a safe, supportive environment where teens can make friends, build life skills, and express themselves—all while having a blast. Whether they’re shy or outgoing, every teen will thrive through the power of play and improvisation.

Workshops meet every Friday at 6:30 pm at the Warwick Center for the Arts. Each eight-week session includes four weeks of workshops followed by four weeks of shows.
Yes! Teens can repeat the two-month session as many times as they’d like until they age out at 18. Each session provides new opportunities to grow and develop skills.
The workshops are open to youth between the ages of 12 and 18. No previous experience is required, and all skill levels are welcome.
Sneakers, their own full water-bottle, and a willingness to learn and have fun!
Improv is perfect for shy or introverted teens! Our supportive environment helps them build confidence at their own pace.
Teens skills are evaluated through low pressure games and activities during the first workshop, and the curriculum is tailored to their level. This ensures they learn at a pace that’s right for them.
The fee includes:
- Four weeks of workshops and four weeks of shows.
- A BYOI Youth t-shirt.
- Free admission to the 8:00 pm shows for current participants.
Yes! Warwick Center for the Arts (WCFA) members can purchase the workshops at a discounted rate of $195. Memberships are $45 for individuals and $65 for families of four. The memebership also gets you discounts to our shows.

Yes, parental permission is required for participation in the workshops.
The $245 fee (or $195 for WCFA members) must be paid in advance to hold your teen’s spot. Spaces are limited, so early registration is encouraged.
